Growing up the in early 2000s-2010s aka the era of being skinny, avoiding carbs, and fad diets, it has left a harmful legacy of BD (Body Dysmorphia) and people struggling with healthy relationships with food.
To me, eating “healthy” is subjective. What may work for one person may not work another and that is fine! We are all unique–we have different genetics, cultural backgrounds, habits, dietary needs, and more, so of course, what we eat will differ. So I like the term “mindful eating.” When I think of the term, I think of being intentional with our eating habits and what we eat.
Eating food that makes you feel good, rejuvenated, and full is important.
